We value positive relationships with parents and carers to help develop better social and emotional skills in children. We know that when children are engaged with their learning, they attend school more regularly, leading to better long term outcomes.
For parenting and counselling services, visit the Family Support page, and for direction and clarity on regulations, processes and procedures at our school, read the Sydney Catholic School policies.
The relationship between parents and teachers is vital to support students to grow in faith, enhance wellbeing and improve learning. Authentic partnerships and communication are fostered at Mary MacKillop Catholic College. We welcome parents to contact the college by phone or email so that we can support their daughters. We invite parents to be part of college events.
The Parent Advisory Group, which meets at least once per term, allows parents to hear about what is happening in the college, give input and feedback as well as organise parent social and fundraising events. New members are always welcome.
Parents are kept informed through information evenings, Compass notices and parent-teacher-student conferences. College news, celebrations and events, and student activities and achievements are shared via the college newsletter and through social media: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Parents can purchase college uniforms from the Uniform Shop which operates from the college every Wednesday and Thursday from 8.00–9.30am. Hours of opening are extended during Year 7 orientation periods.
