On Monday, two MMCC students, Jayda (Year 7) and Jizelle (Year 11), represented the College at the NSWCCC Championships held at Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre.

Both students competed extremely well in their respective events.

Jayda won a gold medal🥇in the Discus and Shot Put, and Jizelle came 4th in her event.

Congratulations to both students.

Yesterday, MMCC acknowledged a very significant day, a day reminding everyone of the importance of asking, “R U OK?”

With a strong emphasis on asking, “Are you OK?” every day, the organisation encourages everyone to follow four steps, which are essential for supporting those who are struggling.

1. Ask R U OK?
2. Listen
3. Encourage action
4. Check-in

Yellow ribbons were handed out to students and staff members as a symbol of hope, optimism, friendship and positivity, all necessary when helping both ourselves and others who are going through difficult times.
