As we draw to the conclusion of the 2024 calendar year, MMCC was fortunate enough to have 3 students presented with Sports Awards from Sydney Catholic Schools.

We would like to congratulate the following students on their awards:

Jayda - Year 7: NSWCCC Level participating in a NSW All Schools Trials as part of a NSWCCC Team

Jizelle - Year 11: Sydney Level participating in a NSWCCC Trial as part of a Sydney Team

Isabel - Year 12 2024: Sydney Level participating in a NSWCCC Trial as part of a Sydney Team

This is a great achievement from the girls who were consistent performers across a variety of Sports in 2024.

Congratulations, Helma, Class of 2024, who received this year's Archbishop of Sydney Award for Student Excellence.

The Award for Student Excellence recognises young people who demonstrate their Christian values and actively contribute to the faith life of the school, Catholic parish, and the wider Church community.

Helma's citation
Helma is an inspiration to those around her. Her unwavering faith and compassionate nature are reflected in her dedication to her school and church communities. As a Catechist, Helma plans engaging lessons and works tirelessly with the young people of the parish. Additionally, she is a member of the parish choir and assists with overseeing youth gatherings and playing games with the Aged Care group. As the Faith Captain, Helma actively encourages students to deepen their faith through prayer and attending Mass. She also leads the weekly youth group in Bible Study, Lenten programs, and discussions on living a virtuous life. Through ‘Vinnies’, Helma selflessly donates her time and resources to assist people experiencing hardship. Her commitment to her faith is evident in her attendance at parish events, where she enjoys the fellowship of her community. Helma’s dedication to her faith and service to others is an inspiration to all.
